The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially in its final days, so consider this your last call before prices go back up. I went through everything I tried on this year and narrowed it down to the pieces I think are actually worth grabbing, from really good denim and cashmere to fall dresses, matching sets, shoes, bags, and a few things I know I’ll be wearing the second the weather cools down.
There are definitely some splurges in here, but also plenty of pieces that give you that expensive look for less. A few of my favorites are already selling out, so if you’ve been waiting until the end of the sale to shop, now is the time.
Designer Denim on Sale
If there’s one thing I’d grab before the Nordstrom Sale ends, it’s denim. Great jeans are one of those things worth spending a little more on because the fit, quality, and feel really do make a difference. These are the three pairs I’ve loved most this year and would recommend adding to your closet before the sale is over.
Starting off strong with Mother jeans because these are a true 10/10. Like, bury me in these jeans because they’re that good. I don’t know what kind of magic they put into the fit, but they somehow look amazing on so many body types, make your legs look miles long, and actually feel good the second you put them on. The closest ‘look for less’ I’ve found is THIS pair from Target.

Next up are these brown jeans, and brown denim is going to be everywhere this fall. They come in this shade plus a deeper brown, and I love the fit because they’re the perfect straight leg. They’re not too baggy or wide, but they’re also not skinny or barrel leg. They’re one of those pieces that feels like a statement and a neutral at the same time, which makes them so easy to work into your fall wardrobe. I just saw Old Navy came out with THIS pair.

Last, but most certainly not least, are these Levi’s. I love the distressed knees because they give them a little more of that casual, cool girl feel while still being super easy to style. And you know I can’t resist a Canadian tuxedo once fall rolls around, so pairing them with a denim jacket was a no brainer.
Cashmere
Every year, the first thing in my cart is always the cashmere. It’s unbelievably soft, super cozy, and lightweight enough to layer without feeling bulky. These sweaters are such a good fall and winter basic, and you can start wearing them before the temperatures even drop. In early fall, I love throwing one over my shoulders with a simple tee or tank, then layering it properly once the cooler weather finally shows up.

The only cashmere sweaters I’ve found that are even remotely comparable are these sweaters from Quince. High quality, very soft, but at a much more affordable price point!
Nordstrom Sale Dresses
Okay, now for the dresses because the Nordstrom Sale always has some of the best ones for fall. I found everything from an easy sweater dress to prints and richer fall colors that can take you from right now straight into cooler weather. These are the ones I’d grab while they’re still marked down.
Starting with this Farm Rio dress because it is selling out FAST, and I completely understand why. The print and detailing make it such a standout, but it still feels so wearable heading into fall. The second dress is the perfect date night option. I love the rich brown for fall, and once the weather cools down I’d add a little cashmere wrap over my shoulders. And don’t sleep on these little peep toe heels because they’re on sale too.
Wear this sweater dress buttoned up as a dress now, then open it up and style it as a long duster cardigan. I already can’t wait to wear it over jeans this fall. Two completely different looks from one piece is always a win.
I bought last year’s version of this floral dress, so obviously I had to try this year’s to see what they changed. The updated high low hem gives it so much more movement and shows off a great pair of tall boots beautifully, while the darker floral print feels made for fall. It is a bit of a splurge, and I sized up from my usual 8 to a 10 for a little more room through the shoulders and chest.
A Few More Fashion Favorites

This set has such a designer look without the designer price tag. I love the slightly oversized quarter zip with the matching shorts, and the washed navy makes it feel even more expensive than it is. It’s an easy throw on set for travel days, errands, or just running around, and I’m wearing a size medium.

This matching set is such a good early fall office look. The deep wine color feels so good for the season, and the sweater top with the flowy pants makes it comfortable enough for a full workday while still feeling elevated. I also have to say, the online photo does not do these pants justice. I’m wearing a medium in both the top and bottoms.

This trench is one of those pieces that makes me ready for fall immediately. I love the longer length, cinched waist, and neutral color, but the best part is how versatile it is. It has a detachable hood and removable insulated vest, so you can adjust it as the weather changes. Wear it lightweight in early fall, then add the vest once it gets colder. It’s a classic layer I’d keep in my closet for years, which makes grabbing it on sale even better.
Nordstrom Sale Purse Favorite

Dolce Vita got me with this one. The suede and warm camel color feel so good for fall, and I love the relaxed shape because it holds plenty without looking bulky. This is one of several new Dolce Vita bags, so there are a few different styles to choose from depending on what you’re looking for.
Nordstrom Sale Shoes
Of course my husband and I had to leave with matching-ish sneakers. The color I picked is selling out fast, but they also come in black if your size is gone in the white. I also found a great look for less option HERE that looks so similar, and I already know they’re just as comfortable.

These mule loafers are such an easy way to dress up a simple outfit without feeling too formal. I love the suede with the gold detail for fall, and they’d be so good with jeans, trousers, or a workwear look for the office.

These are such a good slipper for late summer into early fall, especially if your feet get too hot in a full slipper. You still get all the cozy softness without feeling overheated. They’d also make such a good Christmas gift, so I’d grab a pair while they’re on sale now and tuck them away for later.
