Self Care Skin Products with Olay

April 26, 2021

Mother’s Day is right around the corner which means I am looking for nearly every reason to Treat- yo-self LOL more than usual– Olay shared a few masks with me that I have been using lately that I really like!

There are a few new to me products that have more targeted benefits, and I really want to try a few more! 😉 So when I hopped online to check out a few more body scrubs (which I have linked below) I saw that Olay is currently running a couple deals on their site and also combined a couple regimens that include a free beauty bag that makes it kind of a one stop shop for whatever kind of treatment you need to keep our skin looking fresh! 😉

I also linked up a few other regimens if you are looking for something to transition to — a couple that I am super interested in would be the Fearless, Fabulous & Firm or Strong, Sexy & Smooth — I did link those below as well awesome deals going on those plus you get the entire regimen ready to go!

Thanks so much to Olay for sponsoring today’s post, as always all opinions here are my own.

Skincare Favorites from Colleen Rothschild

October 8, 2020

Hey girls! Its the beginning of the Colleen Rothschild Friends and Family Sale! We get 25% off Sitewide (Code FAMILY25) for the next few days! Its a great opportunity to take advantage of the sale and pick up some awesome skincare!

I use these products on the daily, so I wanted to get my favorites products all in one spot! Her skincare is a gamechanger for my acne prone skin– I actually had a consultation with Colleen herself earlier in the season! So fun! She made a few suggestion for me that I will pass on to you since they are so helpful! I will put them in order of usage so you can reference it back!

The Radiant Cleansing Balm gives you the at home spa experience- the cleansing balm gives an effect of a makeup melt, so I like to use it after a long day of wearing makeup. Comes with its own muslin cloth– my advice is to use it as a little steamer — feels so good on your skin!

Two products for me that have been amazing for keeping bacteria at bay PLUS giving me the wrinkle and fine line fighters are the Gylcolic Peel Pads (targets fine lines, hyperpigmentation leaves my skin feeling fresh and bright!) and the Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum (This serum promotes cellular turnover, acne, dark spots and all over texture) Its a duo I don’t go to sleep without.

Sometimes our skin needs a little extra TLC- and masking is a great way of giving it what it needs! Colleen Rothschild ]masks are some I use on the regular also! The clarifying detox mask is one of my favorites!

The Hair Products smell amazing and I LOVE the hair mask! Highly recommend these! I swear by both the serum and hair mask for keeping my hair hydrated and shiny!

Other options would be if you wanted to get started on a few products without committing to a full sized product– grab the discovery kit! It is a great way to get into the brand and try out a few things of your own!

Thank you to Colleen Rothschild for Sponsoring today’s post! As always all opinions here are my own.

Updated Night Routine Items

May 12, 2020

Hey ladies ! Just shared some new nighttime routine items on Instagram Stories. My is definitely blemish prone and so I typically focus on trying to prevent and clear them up. Recently I wanted to try to work on getting anti aging incorporation as well. I have been already using the Colleen Rothschild hair products for already a year I LOVE the quench and shine conditioner.

All the items on this post are 25% off with the Friends and Family Sale with code FAM25

One of the items I shared is the Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum– Using it for 30 days or so now- it is meant to help with overall radiance and texture. Also it helps unclog pores and prevents blackheads– so I also see it helping breakouts when I have them. YES!

I also just recently started using the Retinol Supreme Night Oil, this is an oil that is a stablized retinol which encourages healthy skin renewal. It has potent Vitamin C, which helps protect my skin but also will help reveal more radiance overnight.

I always will give products a couple months to really see results I am excited to see some more changes in texture and my skin!

A few of the other items that I have been using is the nightly masks- when you need a little “me” time they work really well and give you the extra clean feeling. Since there are so many items that I love, I went ahead linked up a few of my favorites here so you can see all the options! Happy to help anyway I can! Let me know what you snag and what you’re loving too! 🙂

Self Care Favorites

April 7, 2020

Quarantine time means we have a bit of time to take for ourselves… JKJKJKJK, In THEORY we do, but nonetheless, focusing on Skincare should be something (myself included) I could stand to take a little more time for.

Recently posted my videos on how I am using all these items, but wanted to make this a more comprehensive list and go -to location for all the skincare I recommend and am loving right now.

AM ROUTINE

Cleanser: Cult Classic or Acne Cleanser: I like to really make sure my face is clean since its so prone to breakouts. So I love the Cult Classic and Acne Cleansers ( The Acne line really has helped me so much– kept breakouts at bay but doesn’t overdry)

Toner: Glycolic Resurfacing Gel Toner– LOVE LOVE this for helping with texture and neutralizing potential breakouts. This has been such a gamechanger for me. (Use this Day and night)

Moisturizer: 24/7 Moisture or Quench both these products are a great little drink of water for your skin. Started using Quench more recently and I really love the texture and cooling sensation of that product. It’s a lighter product and feels SO good on your skin.

Tanning Drops: You can add these tanning drops to your moisturizer in the morning under your makeup for a gradual faux glow! I use this for my face- but can be used on your body should you choose.

PM ROUTINE

  1. Billie Face Wipes: These are great for on the go- its a clean face wipe that does a great job at removal, perfect for after the gym. I use to remove my makeup before I cleanse.
  2. Cult Classic or Acne Cleanser: I like to really make sure my face is clean since its so prone to breakouts. So I love the Cult Classic and Acne Cleansers ( The Acne line really has helped me so much– kept breakouts at bay but doesn’t overdry)
  3. Sugar Scrub: I use this once a week or so, the great for exfoliating but still gentle and clean.
  4. Toner: Glycolic Resurfacing Gel Toner– Smoothes and helps resurface. I use this Day and night
  5.  Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum: This serum has a lot of benefits like promoting turnover of your cells, reduce fine lines and dark spots.
  6. YOUTHFUL Quattro Peptide Face & Eye Serum : I use this closer to my eyes and mouth- leaping bunny certified, this clean skincare item has a ton of benefits but I am using it for the skin elasticity and firmness
  7. GO AWAY Acne spot or Keep it clear: If I have further breakouts I will for sure add a little more spot treatment
  8. LANIEGE Lip Mask: Need chapstick at night? YOU NEED THIS. Love this lip sleeping mask so so much!

MASKS

GLOWIFY METALLIC MASK // DETOX MASK

HAIRCARE

I have talked recently a lot about how I keep my hair shiny and healthy looking. I have been using this Conditioner and Serum for over a year- LOVE it, gosh I hope I NEVER run out! LOL

BODYCARE

I have been using both these products for a couple years, my friend introduced LAVISH and the Body Polish as a little sampler duo at Christmas once- and have been using EVER since! (No pun intended)

I do use the body butter more sparingly since its a tad more pricey than an everyday lotion, but on the days when you are feeling extra dry or right after you used the Body Polish (Spa experience let me tell you) As of right now there is a Citron scent that is brand new OMG So good.

If you want some quality body care, look no more.

New Items available at Billie!

March 17, 2020

Hopping on that Oh So Important Self Care train, with a couple NEW products launching! So I have been using Billie Razors for months now (which I love and if you don’t already ya need to hop on that train) If you have not tried this original product is the razor and a few accessories, this is an auto shipment type service where you pick the frequency and the razor and accessories of your choice are sent to you! The “pink tax” on razors has been eliminated so the price point in general is WAY less than what I have typically spent. On top of that, the product performance is MUCH improved- so it is a win either way. My personal order each month includes the razors, lotion and shaving cream. Now there are a few new products I have had the privilege of trying out before they launched today–so I’m super excited to share!

Three products are rolling out today!

First is the Lip balm– vegan and clean, some have a tint to them and a couple don’t, they have fun a quirky scents but nothing too overpowering. Great little additions to my collection and been pretty hydrating too!

Secondly the Dry Shampoo, different kind of application then what I am typically used to. It’s not a spray but a powder, sprinkle massage and go. Lightweight and definitely feels like its cleansing my scalp.

The last new item that is launching is the Wonder Wipe Face Wipe— YOU GUYS THEY SMELL SO GOOD! I have been using them to remove my makeup and wipe my face after the gym– they don’t dry my skin out so they are super gentle and they remove everything. Kind of a one step wipe!

These three are all things we need for self care, but quick enough to get back to our lives Stat. 🙂 Just gave you three NEW reasons to hop on that Billie Train, trust me you will LOVE.

My Makeup Bag: Travel Edition

April 4, 2018

Preparing to travel can be stressful, especially when you are the one packing everyone.  #momlife. 🙂 MY favorite things to do on our last trip can be found here. Makeup is really one that I do my best to stick to the essentials with. This last Spring Break trip was no different. I do my best to keep my routine quick, easy, but am still able to play with colors if I’m going on a night out with the family.

I talked a little bit about this on my Instagram Stories last week – This last trip, I took the chance to put a few new products to the test. In bringing them I relied on them heavily, from family activities to taking my pictures for the blog. And I will say that they all performed well!

  1. Peter Thomas Roth Pore Putty: This is a primer that promises to “blur out” fine lines, wrinkle and pores. I really fight with my skin on texture and it does help quite a bit on this. A little goes a long way with this stuff, so if you snag it, keep that in mind.
  2. Tarte Shape Tape: This concealer no doubt performed better than any other that I have ever used. This stuff DOES NOT budge. It conceals like a charm! I’ll just put it all over my face now…
  3. MAC Studio Fix: I use this normally pressed powder for light coverage to set my concealer and to soak up any shine throughout the day.  On vacation, I used this for more of a sheer to medium coverage since it does have foundation in it. I found that this product really works well in shine reduction and reducing lines and pores on my skin. I really LOVE this product for my oily skin.
  4. Tarte Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette:  If we were going SOLEY based oon the name I STILL would have bought it. Ha. Ok, In all seriousness, this rocks. This palette is more pigmented than I am used to, so this helped with application time for sure. The powder itself it so smooth and feels so good on my skin.  There’s a good variety of colors and it wore really well throughout the day.
  5. IT Cosmetics Ombre Radiance Blush: I have used this blush for a while and I like that it has a little bit of shimmer to it. Its not super bright, it worked perfect for me day and night.
  6. Lorac Matte Pro Eyeshadow Palette: This palette has been a go – to for me.  At home it’s my ‘everyday’ palette lately. Its well pigmented and it goes on reaaaal smooth. I can use this palette for eyeshadow, eyeliner and even filling in my brows!
  7. Anastasia Brow Definer : I have used this exact product for several years, and it has always bode me well. Especially through many humid, sticky vacations and summers.

Travel Tip: Cushion your palettes and powders- you don’t want to get to your destination and find them shattered. 🙁

Travel Tip: Bringing with you palettes are a space saver and are going to give you more variety when you’re on the go!

As always thank you for stopping by! I hope that you find this useful and if you also use anything here I would love to hear what you think of it as well!

Those Lashes Tho

March 18, 2018

For a few months now, I have gotten constant questions about my Lashes. Are they real? what do I do? Well Girl, let me tell you, I can’t take credit for this handiwork but I will tell ya everything I know about it.

BACK STORY:

So basically, I get extensions and let me tell you… they are freaking AMAZING. So this isn’t my first go round with extensions, back in the day— ( 4-5 years) I went to the mall, and saw this eyebrow threading place that offered lash extensions too. So you know by now, I am always curious and always looking for my next beauty MUST HAVE. Eyelashes are not a huge problem area for me, but I do like to have a time saver to enhance my “no makeup face”.

So I tried the lashes at the mall… I spent about $50– for a full set annnnnnd basically that was not the best decision I’ve ever made… HA.. NO, it really was a mess.  ( I can hear my Mother now… You Get What You Pay for!). The process was strange. They had me keep my eyes open, so the glue basically was burning my eyes. This should have told be to abort… but being my first time, I just went with it.  Long story short, I ended up in the bathroom on vacation– attempting to rub them off with baby oil.. Needless to say that did not work so well, and I was left with about 1/4 of my original lashes. 🙁

TRYING AGAIN:

Despite the fact that I had a horrible experience on the first go round, and it took FOREVER to let my lashes grow back. I still remained curious, several years later I commented at the gym, on a friends lashes…. Her lashes were beautiful, here we were, getting ready to workout and she was looking FREEEESSHHHH. So told me she had her lashes done, and we chatted a bit about it, so I decided to try again.

My first appointment at KIY Lash Artistry included a consultation about my “Lash Goals”. We discussed, what I like to see in lashes and she gave my a few examples to look at to compare. They do have several different choices on styles, and essentially EVERYTHING is custom, so no two lash sets are the same. After having many conversations through my appointments, because you know I am curious 🙂 — The amount of technique training these ladies (and Gentleman) take, is amazing. The precision and attention to detail that it takes, it really is an art.

Considering my last experience, I was VERY concerned about if I was going to keep my lashes or what the long term effects were going to be.  What I learned was, if my lashes are compromised through this process, then it will jeopardize my ability to get future lash extensions. The extension is not bonded to my eyelid, its attached to my individual lashes. My “Lash Health” is EXTREMELY important, and this was music to my ears!

Taking the plunge was EASY! I hang out for a bit and catch up on my sleep! No really, most times I do fall asleep, I have forgotten how amazing a nap can be! 🙂  My appointments for a fill last about 2 hours, but I don’t mind because its relaxing.  I go back every 2-3 weeks and just continue to enjoy the effects of having amazing GLAM lashes!

I really could go on and on, but I would say that I absolutely love that my lashes are low maintenance and its so easy to enjoy the effects of having lashes all the time.  I hope this answers your questions and gives you a better idea of the process. 🙂 If you would like to schedule for yourself go here.

As always, I appreciate you stopping by!
