Preparing to travel can be stressful, especially when you are the one packing everyone. #momlife. 🙂 MY favorite things to do on our last trip can be found here. Makeup is really one that I do my best to stick to the essentials with. This last Spring Break trip was no different. I do my best to keep my routine quick, easy, but am still able to play with colors if I’m going on a night out with the family.
I talked a little bit about this on my Instagram Stories last week – This last trip, I took the chance to put a few new products to the test. In bringing them I relied on them heavily, from family activities to taking my pictures for the blog. And I will say that they all performed well!
- Peter Thomas Roth Pore Putty: This is a primer that promises to “blur out” fine lines, wrinkle and pores. I really fight with my skin on texture and it does help quite a bit on this. A little goes a long way with this stuff, so if you snag it, keep that in mind.
- Tarte Shape Tape: This concealer no doubt performed better than any other that I have ever used. This stuff DOES NOT budge. It conceals like a charm! I’ll just put it all over my face now…
- MAC Studio Fix: I use this normally pressed powder for light coverage to set my concealer and to soak up any shine throughout the day. On vacation, I used this for more of a sheer to medium coverage since it does have foundation in it. I found that this product really works well in shine reduction and reducing lines and pores on my skin. I really LOVE this product for my oily skin.
- Tarte Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette: If we were going SOLEY based oon the name I STILL would have bought it. Ha. Ok, In all seriousness, this rocks. This palette is more pigmented than I am used to, so this helped with application time for sure. The powder itself it so smooth and feels so good on my skin. There’s a good variety of colors and it wore really well throughout the day.
- IT Cosmetics Ombre Radiance Blush: I have used this blush for a while and I like that it has a little bit of shimmer to it. Its not super bright, it worked perfect for me day and night.
- Lorac Matte Pro Eyeshadow Palette: This palette has been a go – to for me. At home it’s my ‘everyday’ palette lately. Its well pigmented and it goes on reaaaal smooth. I can use this palette for eyeshadow, eyeliner and even filling in my brows!
- Anastasia Brow Definer : I have used this exact product for several years, and it has always bode me well. Especially through many humid, sticky vacations and summers.
Travel Tip: Cushion your palettes and powders- you don’t want to get to your destination and find them shattered. 🙁
Travel Tip: Bringing with you palettes are a space saver and are going to give you more variety when you’re on the go!
As always thank you for stopping by! I hope that you find this useful and if you also use anything here I would love to hear what you think of it as well!
