Summer Beach Trip ’19: Myrtle Beach

Hey Friends! I promised a Resort Recap from our Stay in Myrtle Beach! We all just had the best time! As you know we drove instead of flying, and I will say I was prepared for much worse (Since its about a 10 hour drive) but everyone did great! This trip we decided that with all the baseball travel and Madness of the summer, we really didn’t want to do much exploring s much as we wanted to enjoy our resort and the beach and just CHILL. And CHILL we did. Honestly I sat so long my bones started to hurt. LOL — Anyway here’s what we thought.

RESORT: We stayed at the Embassy Suites Hilton Myrtle Beach which has a combination of condos and hotel. So when you’re over in the hotel there’s two restaurants and several pools to pick from in addition to steps from the beach. Firstly I need to note, there’s couple things we didn’t know about the resort…. theres a HUGE breakfast buffet that the boys we nuts for. My husband and I however really loved the “Evening Reception” each night– light snack and cocktails! Most nights we ate in the Coastal Grille, which has a great grouper tacos! My husband and I even went and had a cocktail at the lobby bar a couple evenings while the boys meandered in the gift shop. There is a couple places you can go to if you need to snag a couple beach essentials maybe you forgot, but also theres a little snack bar that serves Starbucks coffee in the lobby! I’m telling you we really didn’t to leave at all!

Most days we switched back and forth between the Pool and the Beach. The pool offers a kids lazy river and a play area, so while the beach was amazing they really loved being able to go to the lazy river. Everything we did was steps from each other, and that made it really nice!

So the biggest thing about our trip that I don’t think I talked too much about on Instagram Stories, is that the service was AMAZING. The staff was always around and talking to the boys learning about their day and helping to make them feel special. The service to us is the real difference maker! We really didn’t want to come home and have to take another vacation- from our vacation!

Yes we could have picked a closer resort close to home, but this way we got to take the kids to beach, explore a bit but mostly CHILL. Everyone was happy and worn out at the end of the night– worth it! Presley cried the last night because he didn’t want to go home! I am so glad we took that trip, I encourage you if you are in the area to check out this resort! Kingston Resorts made the difference for us and our beach trip 2019!

The latest fall collection from GibsonLook is launching on Nordstrom today! I am always so excited when a new collection comes out because I LOVE all the pieces, every time! I feel like I might say that every time I have a blog post featuring the new collections, but is SO true. The last Hi! Sugarplum collection left me wanting ALL THE COLOR, and who can forget the Resort Collections?!

This latest fall collection is just as good, easy pieces that have a TON of sizing options, its the perfect #fancycasual options to add to your fall wardrobe. The colors and fit are a perfect combination for end of summer and beginning of fall!

Look of the Day: Back to School Look of the Day

Hey friends! We started school this week and everyone is SO happy! (Including Mom!) Since we have all the back to school shopping done for the boys, I thought it would be fun to do a Back to School Look of the Day for Moms and Teachers! Easy transitional pieces are the name of the game but also in this outfit too, its easy to accessorize with a little wrap bracelet or two from Victoria Emerson. I share these a lot, they are a great way to add a little casual sparkle to any look, I love how easy they are to mix and match too! Back to School Round 2 with Walmart!

Hey Friends! The boys are back again on the blog more Back to School style with Walmart.com! They love going back to school shopping, but the going to school part is the thing maybe they aren’t too excited over! I did let each of them pick out their outfits for the blog today, you know my dudes love comfy and easy, so that’s what we did! Walmart had an awesome selection of kids stuff at a great price so it makes us all happy! Back to school is just around the corner and my To-Do list not getting any shorter! The boys are excited to pick out new clothes but less as much about actually going to school. I know we have all enjoyed the heck out of this summer, our family is getting ready to go out with bang and add a couple road trips to our plans right before school starts! I have already started my school shopping since we will be coming home right before we head back to school! I can’t say Hayden and Presley are super excited about school, but they had a great time looking at new stuff.
