Summer Beach Trip ’19: Myrtle Beach

Hey Friends! I promised a Resort Recap from our Stay in Myrtle Beach! We all just had the best time! As you know we drove instead of flying, and I will say I was prepared for much worse (Since its about a 10 hour drive) but everyone did great! This trip we decided that with all the baseball travel and Madness of the summer, we really didn’t want to do much exploring s much as we wanted to enjoy our resort and the beach and just CHILL. And CHILL we did. Honestly I sat so long my bones started to hurt. LOL — Anyway here’s what we thought.

RESORT: We stayed at the Embassy Suites Hilton Myrtle Beach which has a combination of condos and hotel. So when you’re over in the hotel there’s two restaurants and several pools to pick from in addition to steps from the beach. Firstly I need to note, there’s couple things we didn’t know about the resort…. theres a HUGE breakfast buffet that the boys we nuts for. My husband and I however really loved the “Evening Reception” each night– light snack and cocktails! Most nights we ate in the Coastal Grille, which has a great grouper tacos! My husband and I even went and had a cocktail at the lobby bar a couple evenings while the boys meandered in the gift shop. There is a couple places you can go to if you need to snag a couple beach essentials maybe you forgot, but also theres a little snack bar that serves Starbucks coffee in the lobby! I’m telling you we really didn’t to leave at all!

Most days we switched back and forth between the Pool and the Beach. The pool offers a kids lazy river and a play area, so while the beach was amazing they really loved being able to go to the lazy river. Everything we did was steps from each other, and that made it really nice!

So the biggest thing about our trip that I don’t think I talked too much about on Instagram Stories, is that the service was AMAZING. The staff was always around and talking to the boys learning about their day and helping to make them feel special. The service to us is the real difference maker! We really didn’t want to come home and have to take another vacation- from our vacation!

Yes we could have picked a closer resort close to home, but this way we got to take the kids to beach, explore a bit but mostly CHILL. Everyone was happy and worn out at the end of the night– worth it! Presley cried the last night because he didn’t want to go home! I am so glad we took that trip, I encourage you if you are in the area to check out this resort! Kingston Resorts made the difference for us and our beach trip 2019!

Ultimate Sports Must Haves

There are SO many things that I think I need when I am getting ready to either go to ONE game or a weekend tournament. Especially in baseball, really there is NO END to what I think I will need! Here’s some tips:

FOOD

What I pack for food is dependent on how long I will be there/what time of day/ how many POTENTIAL games we might have i.e. tournaments. When packing, I like to take things that travel easy and ALWAYS take more than I THINK I will need. LOL

Some favorites would be: Ham and cheese sliders, pringles, grapes, carrots and dip/veggie trays, cheese and crackers.

HOW TO SLIDERS: I slice all the buns, and make an assembly line out of it. I prefer the bakery buns, rather than just normal hamburger buns– something about it makes them more tasty. We do slices of turkey, ham and salami with a white cheese. I don’t add any veggies, but add a little mayo. key here is to slice into quarters or halves— something about that slice they are gone in an instant!

Snackable items: Pretzels with peanut butter, twizzlers (my personal favorite), Skinny Pop Popcorn (multiple flavors), m&ms, gummy worms.

THE CHAIR

The chair you select honestly can make or break you. Only learning this over time do you see how much you need a NICE chair. It really comes down to personal preference and honestly by the time this is said and done, I can totally buy a new type each year. The reason I say that is AS SOON AS I think I have the comfiest most best chair ever, someone comes to a game and has something WAY more comfy looking. 🙂

My Dad got a rocker last season and it was BY FAR the hit on the field. I bought them this year, and they are great! I use the cooler as a footrest anyway, so that will save me on another chair at least this season!

At any sports game there is NO guarantee of anyones comfort and beating sun or awful wind and cold! Baseball especially we can experience all 4 seasons! Here ‘s a few more items that ALWAYS come in handy given the right (or wrong) weather!

Checking out more trending items on Walmart.com, loving what I have found lately and this outfit is SO perfect for summer nights and its SO comfy! I love these particulars styles I found, they are easy comfy and affordable. I think the inspiration for today’s look was for an easy summer look, that kind of with that California Desert Vibe.

Can we talk about these fun pants?! Love having other options from a dress that are not denim! The pants fit true to size and have the most fun fringe on them, with a stretchy waist! The tank I have on is a nice high neck, flattering and also super soft. Comes sold in a two pack, such a great deal to stock up on! Topped it with a straw summer bag, and the look is complete! Love being able to combine great basics together, that make a great upscale look.

Look of the Day: Fray Hem Denim

Today’s outfit of the Day is all about the latest styles available with the Sofía Jeans by Sofía Vergara Collection available only at Walmart.com. I immediately loved this off shoulder top since its a popular and flattering style for date night and girls night! There are two color options available with this top, no matter the color you pick either one is fun for Summer.

These Fray Hem Denim are SO MUCH FUN, they are high waisted as well which makes them not just flattering but comfortable also! White Tank and Bandana

Hi Friends!

I am having a great holiday week and I hope you are as well! Recently I offered a giveaway and in return asked for new ideas for the blog! The winner chosen asked for more casual style, and I thought this look was perfect for this! It’s really super simple, but I added the bandana for a little trendy twist! THE OUTFIT: This is a great look for everyday casual in the hot summer days.  The tank and denim cutoffs are basically a wardrobe staple, but adding the bandana and knotting the front of the tank— gives it a trendy twist! I picked the gladiator sandal just to style it up a bit more!
