My Spring Break Style Shopping Guide has been out for a bit, and I recently had the pleasure of being able to spend time with my family in sunny San Clemente, California. My brother and his family recently moved to Camp Pendleton, so we enjoyed seeing his new home and hanging with all my nieces and nephew. My boys were super excited, but just like any time I travel with them, I have a decent sized list of stuff to bring with us!
Here’s what I packed and wore on my trip:
- Breakfast Outfit/Early morning outfit.. Not Pajamas :)… Sounds high maintenance, I know, but when the boys wake up they are READY TO EAT.. and I’m not always ready to roll for the day… And when we stay in a hotel – it’t not always easy to make food –So I always pack an easy to throw on outfit, that aren’t my pajamas.. that I can feel comfortable going out out in public in.
2. Workout Outfit: Ya’ll know Mommin’ ain’t easy… And traveling with kids is not an exception. I usually TRY to workout 2-3 while on vacay– I did once on this trip.. So in that case, I used my workout clothes for the obvious reasons… BUT for a potential DOUBLE USE— I always have this for the unexpected Sh*t Show–Weather, attitudes and activities can all make a big play for me… and when I just don’t have time for my mules… Workout clothes to the rescue. 🙂
3. Casual Shopping Outfit: One of my favorite things to do while on vacation… besides site seeing, hanging with family, beaching, going to the candy store… (like we did nearly everyday) or eating…. I mean do you know me at all? 🙂 *wink*… is shopping. So I always need an outfit that can be worn to walk around and just hang. Actually, it can be worn for all of the above.:)
TOP PACKING PIECE OF ADVICE:
Bring items with you that you can mix and match. You can plan all you want – but sometimes you just have to go with it. So by bringing items with you that can be worn more than onetime, AND they color coordinate- will really help take the stress away from traveling.
Finally: Don’t sweat it. Go Have Fun. Get Dirty. Go to the Candy Store.
Don’t let the little things get in the way. They are only this old once, and you’ll never get them back at this EXACT time. Take your picture with them, and love on them only the way a Mama can.
Show me your pictures when you get back!
